I’m delighted to announce that finally, Dead Line is available for pre-order.

After a number of years and false starts, the third book in The Regulators series makes it’s eagerly anticipated debut on April 29th, 2024 and you can pre-order your copy over at Amazon now.

The book will debut in paperback and eBook and will also be available on Kindle Unlimited. An Audible version will follow later in the year.

I do have to make a bit of an apology. Dead Line took a lot longer to write than I ever dreamed of. There are multiple reasons for this.

Firstly, the writing process took place in a period of my life when there was a lot of personal upheaval. I started the first draft in spring 2019. By summer we were in the process of moving house. Add in a young family and a full time job and let’s just say things were crazy. By the time 2020 came around and it looked like I was about to get a big chunk of time to write my book, the whole world went through what I will simply call “a thing.”

I know for some writers this meant they had a lot more time on their hands. For me, I was lucky enough to find extra work that I could do from home, especially as my wife was furloughed for a long time. This kept the roof over our head, but coupled with the way things were, it wasn’t a good head space for me to be writing in and Dead Line fell by the way side. When I did finally come back to it and complete it, the final story was bloated, slow and ultimately not what I wanted to put out there.

I had lost my belief and mojo at that point. I decided to embark on a new writing adventure and finished another book, Dead Men Don’t Pay, which will be out this summer. Doing something different gave me creative scope to find myself again. By the time I returned to Dead Line at the back end of 2023 I was hungry. I was ready. And I tore into it. The result is something I am immensely proud of and now I’m sitting on at least three Regulators ideas trying to work out which one comes next in the universe.
